I love the concept of a Space Elevator, and I hope something similar will one day be developed. I also love the romantic idea behind climbing Mt. Everest, but am saddened by the realities of what that entails. This is a slightly cynical view of what it all might look like someday. The detail below is before the hotel changed ownership, and it's name, to the "Everest Overlook Hotel".
