Acrylic and Oil Pastel on thrift-store Black Velvet painting with frame
1996 (ish?)
Bear with me, as I'm writing this description over twenty years after making the painting, but as far as I recall, the idea behind this work was to encourage the viewer to insert their own mental picture of "wildlife" onto the painting which was blanked out. It was also a comment on both how "wildlife" is such a generic term, and on the generic banality of what the image was. Pretentious art student stuff.
